How do I replicate data from primary worksheet to other worksheet

I want to copy data from my primary worksheet (which will be modified
frequently) to other my other worksheets (which have filters applied to the
data) I want these to be updated automatically.

I have already set up the filters on the other worksheets.

To put you in the picture, it is for a stock room system, with the current
stock in the primary sheet and the stock per shelf in the other worksheets.

Thankyou Your help is warmly welcomed!

How do I replicate data from primary worksheet to other worksheet

Hi Jon

Why are you doing the filtering on a copy? Why not just filter the original?

If you do want to copy all data to another sheet, then on Sheet2 in cell A1
enter
=Sheet1!A1
Copy across for as many columns as required.
Copy this range of cells down as far as you need.
Everything entered on Sheet 1 will automatically be replicated on sheet2

Well Roger, (Thank you very much for your help by the way).. The reason I'm
filtering copys of the primary sheet, rather than filter the original is
because I wanted the filtered divisions to contain the SR (item id, if you
were) of the items contained by the shelf. .. Now I had some trouble setting
these filters up,.. I wanted to sort the items with reference to the hundreds
column in the sr. To put you in the picture, the shelves are categorized via
the last three digits of the SR number.. 200 - 299, etc.. I had great
problems getting excel to sort by this criteria and after having no luck
consulting the what appears to be the ultimately useless desktop support here
at work (barclays capital) I ended up using the "auto filter" ( I think its
called) on the column headers,.. It took some time to realize that I could
only use wildcards with character data, so (be-grudgingly) I quoted all the
data (put an: ' before the entries) and used the custom filter "????<n??"
<n of course being the shelf referencing field.

Now please,, there must be a better way .....

Jon.

Hi Jon

If you could send me a cut down version of your data (removing any sensitive
information), I will be happy to take a look and see if I can come up with a
better solution for you.

Remove NOSPAM from my email address to send direct.
