Web query time out problem
Hi, I have a workbook with around 350 sheets each with a web query in. If I try to update all, about a half of the sheets will successfully update before the message 'www..... The access to this internet site has exceeded the allotted time'. Can anyone suggest a workaround? For example would it be possible to update the web queries in batches of 100? Web query time out problem
Hi there,
Yes, it can be coded. I've done a similar thing before at ExpertsExchange, although that was to requery after a set amount of time if the remote site dropped. This could certainly be changed to run the query for 100 sheets at a time, though. If you'd like to do it yourself, you may find the EE thread helpful: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Appl..._21252567.html If you'd like to have it done for you, however, please feel free to contact me for a quote through www.excelguru.ca or www.myexpertsonline.com. Alternately, you can private message me at www.officearticles.com under the ID kpuls. Cheers, -- Ken Puls www.officearticles.com "claytorm" wrote in message ...
