Data table - Lotus 123 to Excel conversion

One of our accountants has a .123 file I've converted to Excel, but I'm
having major problems with the data table. I've never used a data table
before, so that could be the reason for my troubles; I've looked at every
article I can find trying to solve this problem. The input cell used in the
..123 file references a cell on another sheet that is a Weekly Sales
Projection, used in 3 formulas when the variables are recalculated. When I
try referencing that cell as the Column Input cell, I get an error "Input
cell reference is not valid." The first formula used is an easy one that
just divides the variable by the square feet (B14 on another sheet), so I
used blank cell A41 as the input cell and changed the formula to
=A41/Input!B14, and everything calculated properly. However, the other 2
formulas are more complicated and I can't get anything to work right. Net
Profit Before Taxes references a cell that adds and subtracts a bunch of
numbers, so I redid the formula so I could refer directly to cell A41 as
follows:
Original formula = Input!E51
New formula = =((A41*52)*'Income Stmt'!F15)-('Income Stmt'!E29+'Income
Stmt'!E47). I thought cell A41 would hold the variable and do the
calculation correctly, but it doesn't. Does this make sense to anybody or is
this explanation clear as mud? I'm not sure how to do the data tables, much
less explain what's wrong. Any help would be immensely appreciated!
