Custom format for credit card number
I created a custom format for credit card numbers using XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. But when I key a number into the formatted cell, the last (rightmost) digit converts to zero. So when I enter, for example, 5511246190465589 the cell displays 5511-2461-9046-5580. Any ideas? -- Schmacker ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Schmacker's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=28041 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=482287 |
Custom format for credit card number
Precede the credit card number with an apostrophe ('). This will
not show up in the cell, but will display in the formula bar. -- Cordially, Chip Pearson Microsoft MVP - Excel Pearson Software Consulting, LLC www.cpearson.com "Schmacker" wrote in message ...
