My cursor is constantly highlighting cells as I move it over the screen in
Excel , I cannot select anything or use the menu bar. I think there is a keyboard shortcut to fix it but I'm not sure what it is! Any help much appreciated. Thx |

Do you see EXT in the statusbar at the bottom right?
If you do, try hitting F8 to toggle it off. If that isn't it, maybe your mouse has a stuck button. Gently bang the buttons (including the wheelmouse button if you have one) to see if that fixes the problem. Thanks - I have tried both of these and also scroll lock, but unfortunately
it has not fixed the problem. "Dave Peterson" wrote: Do you see EXT in the statusbar at the bottom right? If you do, try hitting F8 to toggle it off. If you're changing the selection with the arrow keys, maybe one of the control
keys/shift keys is stuck. (I don't have any more guesses, though.)
