NFEI

excel fails to launch

If I double click on an exisitn Excel file in say Windows Explorer, Excel
opens but as a blank. The only way to open an existing file is through the
File open menu option.

Try this:

<Tools <Options <General tab,
And *UNCHECK*
"Ignore Other Applications".

Thanks!!!
Why does Microsoft (and most other software developers) make things so
cryptic and then hide it in obscure places? And just when you memorize where
things are they come out with a new version and put it in a different menu
option!

Thanks again!

Gord Dibben

Info only....

That particular option has been in the same place through at least the past 4
versions of Excel.
