I have a database of 15000 customers postcodes - I need to know the number of
customers per code - how do i count the number of repeated codes

One very easy way is to use a pivot table. Pull-down Data Pivot Table and
follow the wizard. Put postcodes in the row area and count of postcodes in
the data area.
