Excel crashes from explorer
Hi When I try to open an excel file from windows explorer (or from lotus notes), excel starts but does not open my file. However, if I use the file-open menu option from excel and choose the same file, it does open. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks. -- pobuckley ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pobuckley's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=8977 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=477808 |
Excel crashes from explorer
That doesn't really sound like excel is crashing to me.
Sometimes one of these works: Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it) --- or --- Close Excel and Windows Start Button|Run excel /unregserver then Windows Start Button|Run excel /regserver The /unregserver & /regserver stuff resets the windows registry to excel's factory defaults. pobuckley wrote: Hi When I try to open an excel file from windows explorer (or from lotus notes), excel starts but does not open my file.
