how can i put birthdays into the calandar from an list?

i have an erollment roster that alphabetical by last name and i was wanting
excell to sort by month so i'd know who's birthday was coming up.

Hi Martha. Assuming your birth date is in B2, in C2 type =Month(b2). Sort
on column C.
