Excel Gradebook Template
I am having the same problem and I tried this but it just gave me a number
value. Is C22 the right cell? It is somewhere in the middle of my Student
ID number list. Thanks.

Dear confused,
In cell C22, use the formula
=(IF(SUM(F22:AF22),ROUND(SUM(F22:AF22)/SUMIF(F22:AF22,"<",$F$16:$AF$16),2),""))
(All on one line), the copy it down to match your student list.
Then, if a student is excused, simply don't enter anything in the cell for
that student.

Can you excuse students from assignments on Excel Gradebook templates? I
have downloaded the template to use points, not percentages. I can't use
it
if I excuse students from assignments or if I offer extra credit. Right
now,
if you enter an assignment and a student doesn't have a grade for it, it
gives him or her a zero. Is there a formula I could enter to excuse them?
Thanks for your help! Here's the URL for the site from which I downloaded
the template:
