Open file in Excel it opens 2 copies
 
Opens 2 copies displaying different worksheets. Anyone know why?

You're actually seeing two views or windows into the same workbook.

This is nice when you want to compare two different areas.

You can achieve this by using:
window|new window
then window|arrange

To get rid of one of these windows, click on the window you don't want and hit
ctrl-w.

(remember to save it the way you want--or you'll be doing it again.)
