Excel and Auto increments
 

I am trying to get excel to do auto increments from 17" to 20' by 1/8 and
stay as fractions any ideas on how I can get this done?

Format your column like fraction/eigth (# ?/8)
enter 17 in A1
drag it down with RIGHT mouse button until row 25
releasing button a local menu comes up, choose undermost line (Data series)
In the Data series dialog box enter 0.125 in step field
click OK
