Is there a macro or a way to base auto filter on a cell number.

a6:a100 is the filter area. (numbers 1-12)
d4 could be a number from 1-12

i would like a6:a100 to filter by the d4 entry.

You can use the Advanced Filter featu

Add a heading to the list, unless cell A6 contains the heading
Add the same heading to cell D3
Select a cell in the list of numbers
Choose DataFilterAdvanced Filter
For the List Range, use your range of numbers
For the Criteria Range, use D3:D4
Click OK
