Copying from columns to Rows
Can anyone tell me if there is a way of copying a series of rows of cells in excel and pasting them as a whole to a series of columns? I don't know if this can be done? -- scottsman78 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ scottsman78's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=27789 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=472968 |
Hi Scottsman78,
Can anyone tell me if there is a way of copying a series of rows of cells in excel and pasting them as a whole to a series of columns? I don't know if this can be done? After the copy, select Edit, paste special and check the "transpose" box. Regards, Jan Karel Pieterse Excel MVP http://www.jkp-ads.com |
Do you mean the Transpose function? Highlight your rows and copy them;
select the column you'd like, right click and Paste Special; then select the Transpose box. |
Try EditPaste Special and check the "Transpose" box Good Luck -- swatsp0p ------------------------------------------------------------------------ swatsp0p's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=15101 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=472968 |
