Need a fromula
 

The cell im working from is b3. it is formated under "date: march 98" I
need just the number of the month to appear in cell c3.


b3= october-04 then c3= 10
b3= november-02 then c3=10
etc..

Any Ideas?

One way, in cell C3
=B3 and format cell C3 as FormatCellsNumberCustom mm
