Hi Vishu,
do you mean tools, options If you don't have a personal.xls file perhaps it would be a good idea to create one so that it will be the first workbook that is opened. If you do have one, then unhide it, cloase the other workbooks, change your options, save your personal.xls file, and hide it again. Window, unhide Window, hide Or might it be a style that is messing you up. Format, Style, Normal then save your workbook -- --- HTH, David McRitchie, Microsoft MVP - Excel [site changed Nov. 2001] My Excel Pages: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/excel.htm Search Page: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/search.htm "vishu" wrote in message ... Dear david,
I have problem with excel setting, I have created correct template and saved in XLStartup as .xlt file. Now problem is when I open blank work book, it open as .xlt file but not .xls. And one problem is if save it without changing any location it directly saving as .xlt format. Now I am totally confussed. I want to have factory default settings for excel. Please advice me in this.
