Multiple Excel windows

Alright, I use to be able to open two documents and they would open up into
two separate windows so that I could compare them side by side. Now, when I
do that, both sheets open into the same window.

I can open one, and then open excel and open the other document in excel to
get it to work, but often it will freeze excel.

Are there some settings that need to be reconfigured to open both sheets
from the file location?

Vacation's Over

ToolsOptions
General Ignore other applications

this will set your Excel to ignoe the opening of files outside of this app
window.

If you use fileopen it will be in this instance of excel.

If you goto mydocuments and double click a file the existing excel will
ignoe it and a new instance of Excel will open.

However you could just open 2 files and use Windowarrange to get close to
the same thing

Doing this causes errors when trying to open Excel attachments from Outlook
email.
