automatically updating cells in other files.
An employee asked me if he had 3 files each containing the same database.
Is there anyway in which he can update the data by only keyboarding it into one file and have it automatically update the rest of files? Any help is appreciated. |
Nothing built into excel for this.
He could have a macro to do the work, but, man, oh man, I'd hate to see the code that makes it work 100% of the time. There's too much that can go wrong for me to approach it. You may want to suggest that he keep on master database and then use some other technique to get that data. Maybe there really isn't a good reason to have those 2 duplicate copies.
