i have the solver under tools...where can i find the solver table function
for data? for making charts and such?

An add-in named SolverTable is included on the CD in the back of several
textbooks.

There are different versions by different authors.

You could do a search on www.google.com for "excel solvertable" (without the
quotes, and no space in the single word solvertable).
