Formatting Cells
Excel 2000. I have a column of number that import as text that I would like
to format as phone numbers. Ex: 9999999999 should appear as (999) 999-9999. When I apply the PN format nothing happens..I'm guessing because it is text. Any suggestions? Thx! |
to you want the final result to be text or numeric.
if numeric. in a blank cell enter 1 select it and copy select the column to telphone numbers and paste special multiply. If you formated the number as telephone they should now show up that way.
