Fraction formulas
Hi,
The fraction is 1/X +1. The x is the number that appears in column A. The problem I have is the number will be different for each row, so I can't just use 1/(A1+1) because A1 will not always be the correct number. Is there anyway to set up the formula, so that it pulls in whatever is in the A column for that row? Thanks, |
If you put:
=(1/a1)+1 or =1/(a1+1) (There's a difference, so use the one you want.) In B1, you can drag it down using the fill handle and excel will change that row number just like you want. Debra Dalgleish has some instructions for that fill handle at: http://contextures.com/xlDataEntry01.html#Mouse V wrote: Hi, The fraction is 1/X +1. The x is the number that appears in column A.
