OLAP Cubes
I am still relatively new to OLAP and just trying to get a better
understanding. If I have created an OLAP cube from my Access Database and it is pulling into a PivotTable in Excel, is it possible to "pass" values back to the Database without any additional programming or is just a one-way feed? Secondly, does the information have to come back in a pivottable? I am trying to create some reports and I seem to be very restricted with pivottables. |
Hi Steven,
Pivot tables are one-way. You can use VBA to pass data back to your access db. If yo want to know more about that, check out Ole Erlandsen's site. http://www.erlandsendata.no/english/...php?t=envbadac If you want to try something different to pivot tables, look at http://www.microsoft.com/office/solu...n/default.mspx Ed Ferrero http://edferrero.m6.net/ I am still relatively new to OLAP and just trying to get a better understanding.
