How do I control where the input message appears?
I have data validated cells in my worksheet. The input message appears in the
same place on the screen no matter which cell you are in. Can you set the message box to appear always to the left, right, above or below your data validated cell? When you use your mouse to scroll down the input message box stays exactly in the same spot on the screen. Thanks, |
Hi Bernina,
I do not think that the position of the data validation message can be controlled You may, however, wish to look at Debra Dalgleish's download files at: http://www.contextures.com/excelfiles.html The Data Validation files include an 'Input Message in Textbox' file which demonstrates the use of a textbox to display an input message. The size, position and formatting of the textbox can be controlled. --- Regards, Norman "Bernina27" wrote in message ... I have data validated cells in my worksheet. Normally, the input message will appear near the bottom right of the
active cell. However, if you move one of the messages, all messages will appear in the same spot. If you close, then reopen the workbook, the messages should go back to their original positions.
