Pasting Columns
I have a list of names in a column (for example A1:A100) and would like to
paste it into another worksheet; but in a way that it skips every other cell. (A1-A200) Not sure if it is possible. Any ideas?? |
paste it into the new worksheet
next to in enter 1 to 100 (in 1 increments) below the new numbers enter 1.5 to 100.5 (in 1 increments) select both columns and sort by the number column delete the number column the names will be in every other row "Humbertt" wrote: I have a list of names in a column (for example A1:A100) and would like to paste it into another worksheet; but in a way that it skips every other cell. use a helper column. with uneven numbers 1,3,5,7,9 up to 201 followed by even numbers 2,4,6,8,up to 200 paste your names into a column next to the even numbers highlight the whole area including the even numbers and sort using the numbers column. -- bill k ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bill k's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...nfo&userid=821 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=468009 |
