How may I add more than 256 columns to an Excel spreadsheet?
I am trying to create a horizontal 12 month calendar in an Excel spreadsheet.
I need 370 columns. Is there anyway to accomplish this within Excel? |

No, sorry. 256 is an absolute limit.

Do you know of any other program, beside Microsoft Project that might work?

I use PostgreSQL, MySQL, and FileMaker in this respect. Access can do the job, but I wouldn't purchase it over FileMaker. |
You'll have to put the continuation on a second sheet.

Access has a limitation of 255 fields in a table.
(Not saying that a field for each day is reasonable database design -it would be awful) HTH. best wishes Harald "KJ" skrev i melding ... I need 370 columns. There is no way Access can accept more than Excel.
Access has the same limitation that Excel has "KJ" wrote: SPO wrote: Do you know of any other program, beside Microsoft Project that might work? Thank you! If it was in access you would probably be switching the order of things
so that the excell rows would become the columns and the excell columns would become the rows. In that case, in a sense the sky is the limit.) |
