Decimal point in bar chart and similar

Hello

I recently had to translate a document and after replacing all the French decimals (a comma) with the English decimal dot (a period), I lost the bars in the graph.

This got me wondering if graphs in Excel do not necessarily display correctly depending on the formatting of the data series and the local language settings of the computer which has downloaded the document.

It would seem mad that this is so but after my experience...

Can anyone confirm or refute this idea?

Thanks

if the values in the french document are real numbers the format would
be modified to your language settings while opening. If not the values
are text and they remain text if you search and replace the separator.
Write 1 in a empty cell, copy this cell, select your data and Paste =
Paste special = Multiply to change the values to real numbers.
