Lost information

I accidently deleted information in my excel spreadsheet.
Then I closed out of Excel, without saving.
And then when I went back and open my spreadsheet, but it was still blank.

How can I retrieve the previous version before it went blank?
I have 500 lines of data, which I must absolutly retrieve.

Please HELP!!!
Thanks
Reena

If you closed without saving, the deleted data should still be in the
re-opened file.

Are you sure you are opening the same file?

Are you sure you did not save after deletion?
