VLOOKUP isn't working properly in Excel on Mac
I am new to Mac so am having a hard time using Excel on it. Just now I am battling with vlookup. The problem is that unless I look up numbers (rather than words), the formula just does not work.
E.g. I want to look up values Low, Mid, High. All my words are spelt correctly and I am picking up the right table and selecting the correct column. I also tried playing with formats (General, Text, etc). The only solution that works is if I use numbers rather than words e.g. 1,2,3, rather than Low, Mid, High. I would really like to use words - can anyone please help? The error I get is #N/A Thanks! |
