I'm Marc, an iOS developer and long time Excel user. On April 4th we’re releasing Excelling, a reference iPhone app for Microsoft Excel.

I started thinking about this app while working for a multinational company two years ago. My work involved creating and maintaining spreadsheets tools and I regularly found myself navigating the Excel menu, and more often than not, Google.

However I found this approach to be slow and ineffective. The Excel built in help search is slow and inaccurate, the way the information is presented is complex and the examples are not as straightforward as they should be.
