Move data from every other row to columns
Hi - Using Excel 2010.
I have several long lists (each is 600+) of vocabularywords & definitions and need to move the definitions (even-numbered rows)into the next column beside the word it defines. For example: A1 = adjective A2 = a word used to modify a noun or a pronoun A3 = compound A4 = two or more words used together as a single word A5 = interrogative A6 = asks a question A7 = narrative A8 = tells a story Should end up as: A1 = adjective B1 = a word used to modify a noun or a pronoun Row 2 = blank A3 = compound B3 = two or more words used together as a single word Row 4 = blank A5 = interrogative B5 = asks a question Row 6 = blank A7 = narrative B7 = tells a story Paste Special-Transpose doesn't help - it just puts all the data in hundreds of columns left to right. Any advice? Thanks! |
