Saving Formulas in Excel

I need to find a way to protect a formula in an Excel Worksheet. I want to put the formula in and allow others to post their data in the worksheet, but I don't want it to affect the formula. Is there a way to accomplish this?

By default all cells in a sheet are locked when you protect the sheet.

Select all cells and FormatCellsProtection........unlock them.

Now select those cells you want locked and Format them to locked.

Now protect the sheet............your formula cells cannot be edited
but referenced cells can be filled.
