I have a workbook that wont maximise or resize when opened
 

I have a workbook that used to fill the screen when opened. Now when I open
it, it appears in a small window and I cant resize or maximise it as all the
standard buttons on this small window have disappeared!!! Please help!

It sounds like the workbook is protected.

Try Tools|protection.
Do you see Unprotect Workbook?

If yes, click on that (you may need a password to unprotect it, though).

If this works, it was caused by:

Tools|protection|protect workbook
and someone checked that Windows option.
