links from other sheet deletes formulas
 

I have a file that links to another workbook and when I extract it from zip
(it was e-mailed to me in a zip format) or just save it, all the formulas in
the linked cells disappear, although they still contain a list of all the
cells that are linked only all plus, minus, division, etc signs dissappear.
Can anyone help me deal with this problem?
