you can merge A1 & A2 (for example, but merging is rarely a good idea)

No, Row height is a property of the Row, not individual cells.

You can merge cells, but that usually begins the demise of the worksheet
as a usable tool, as it adversely affects formatting, filtering,
sorting, etc.
