Do other keyboard shortcuts work?

Is it possible you recorded a macro and assigned Control + C to it
(thus overwriting the copy shortcut)?

Do you know how to check to see what the currently assignd shortcut for
Copy is?

Go to Tools -- Customize (this brings up the Customize dialog box)
With the dialog box open, click on the Copy button on the toolbar
above.
Once it's selected (it should have a little black box around it), click
Modify Selection on the lower left of the Customize dialog box.
Third field down is Name. It should say "&Copy" if the Control+C
shortcut is still set.

Hope this helps...
