Problem sorting in Excel
When I do a sort in Excel, not all the columns sort properly
|
Hi Kat
if you select a column and then click on the A-Z or Z-A icons on the toolbar this can happen :( my recommendation always is that you click on only one cell within your data area (defined by a completely blank column & a completely blank row) and choose Data / Sort from the menu and set which column to sort on there you should never see the problem again. Hi,
Just some guesses.... Check whether all the rows within a particular column is of the same data type or not. Do some have numbers and rest text? If you have all as text, check whether some text have leading spaces like " Paris" and "Paris" would not normally appear nearby. -- Thanks a lot, Hari India "Kat" wrote in message ...
