In a chain of links, how can I automatically remove the middle lin
I have a link that goes through a chain of links to ultimately link to the
source file. Is there a way for me to automatically change the ending link to point to the source file instead of moving through the chain of links? |
sure....... have your source file open and your file that you have the link
via other workbooks or sheets. In your destination cell type = and then click straight on the source cell overwriting the existing link -- paul remove nospam for email addy! Thanks for your response - do you know if there is a way to do this
automatically? My end file has a large number of links that go through the middle file to get to the source file. I want to delete the middle file without having to manually link all the cells in the end file to the source file. The "edit links" function does not work, as the middle file and source file house the data in different cells, tabs, etc. I'm not sure this can be done but it would save me lots of time!
