Formulas return values--not formats.
If you're lucky, you might be able to mimic the formatting change via Format|conditional formatting. (say if Yes is always manually shaded Green and No is always shaded Red--but that doesn't always help.) Suzanne Marie wrote: I have a question along these lines.... If you open your workbook with macros disabled, can you do your copy|paste specials (both of them)???
