+ sign changing to - in Excel 2000????
Does that only happens in Excel? My friend had a keyboard that could do the followings: 1. "A" - "a" 2. "q" - "q", but "Aq" - "az" 3. "h" - "A" 4. Some letters never come up unless you press another button first  There are more I cannot remember. At the end of the day when he needs to type up an essay, there are tons of tricks you have to know! ebarnes Wrote: Ok this is a weird one but I have a machine running XP Pro with Office 2000. When we use Excel 2000 and you are putting a formula in a cell like 2+2 it changes the + to a - sign. I have checked that there are no macros, I have checked the keyboard layout to make sure nothing has changed there. I even made sure the currency stuff and international stuff was correct. I can not seem to figure out what is causing this. It just started and it is very weird... Any help would be great. Seems like it is just Excel. I am thinking that I am going to uninstall Office and then reinstall to see if that gets rid of the problem. But I would like to know what is causing it. -- ebarnes ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ebarnes's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=25693 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=391085 |
