Consecutive #ing of Labels
I'm a newbie here on this forum and have very little practical experience in Excel. I have been asked to create and print sheets of labels (Avery 5167) where the labels are numbered consecutively starting with 0001 (i.e. 0001, 0002, 0003 ...). Something tells me I will need to create a table in Excel first and then merge it into Word? Am I on the right track? Any guidance in this respect would be most appreciated. -- Desert Diva ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Desert Diva's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=25581 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=390051 |
For my labels I print straight from Excel, with the template setup to have a spacer row between each label, and a wider row for data to be printed on the label (plus a spacer column etc), and the paper set to the required feed bin. (Test the setup on blank sheets of standard paper first) For single sheets you would thus enter your number in the first label cell, and the remaining cells would increment from that (=B2+1 etc) You could then duplicate this down the Worksheet to produce multiple sheets at a time etc. -- Bryan Hessey ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Bryan Hessey's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=21059 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=390051 |
