Sheet and Workbook Protction

Is it possible to copy a sheet that is say a "template",
and is protected, to a new sheet, and have the
protection "laws" apply to the new sheet?

Works for me in Excel97, 2002 and 2003 if the protected sheet is in a workbook
that is not protected.

Right-click on the sheet tab and "move or copy". Checkmark "create a copy"
and in the "To Book" select which book and where in order and OK.

Copied sheet in new book or same book is protected.
