... interaction with Word ...
I would like to link some lines in my word document to Some cells of an
existing Excel Spreadsheet. In otherwords: Excel File: <<< Scrap Tracking.xls Worksheet: <<< Apr-05 Cell-1: <<< E2 (Text = April-05) Cell-2: <<< C100 (Text = Monthly Total) Cell-3: <<< D100 (Text = $3,879.09) I would like a Sentence in my Word Document to read: .... During "April-05" the "Monthly Total" Scrap Value was "$3,879.09" ... Is there a way to do that? Thanks, Darrell |
Hi Doc-
You might have a look at 'Link' fields in InsertFieldLinks & References category. May differ somewhat depending on version of Word. Taz:
Thanks for the note, I will check that out tomorrow. I did find a soloution: EditPaste SpecialPaste as Link, most probably selecting the unformatted text option. It works quite well and is possible the same thing you are discribing except another means to get the same result.
