Good afternoon themax16 Why not use the Data Validation function, in the Allow box select List, and then type your list of possible values into the Source box, or highlight a range of cells containing allowed values. Hi James Seems to be working OK for me using XL2000. Try again. If you are still struggling post back and I'll upload an example. I know it may be stating the obvious, but there isn't a blank row between your heading and the first row of your data is there...? It seems that sometimes the simple answer is the correct one.... i did have a line spacing it. Many thanks -- themax16 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ themax16's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=23622 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=389018 |
DominicB,
Do you know if it is possible to change any characteristics of a drop down list created using data validation, eg width of list, or font size? I am using text aligned at 90°, so not much width for drop down list... -- Regards, Jay "dominicb" wrote: Good afternoon themax16 Why not use the Data Validation function, in the Allow box select List, and then type your list of possible values into the Source box, or highlight a range of cells containing allowed values.
