Accessign formula's in worksheet that appear to have been hidden

I have an Excel worksheet with columns and rows of data. In order to make
computations, as you know (LOL) a formula must be deveoped. This worksheet I
have did not come with any (or viewable formula's. Is there a way I can make
them re-appear?

Please let me know as soon as you can.

Thanks,
Tim

Anne Troy

Tim: Many spreadsheet "producers" will develop applications that wipe the
formulas because, quite frankly, they don't want you to know how they came
about getting the figures they got. Could this be the case?

Yes, this appears to be the case. Need to obtain these formulas somehow.
They appear to be some what common.

Thank you for your assistance.

Perhaps I should have explained. If I have formulas I don't want you to see,
I'll copy the cells, and hit Edit--Paste special, Values, OK.
Formulas...all gone!

Not unless the formulas are hidden somehow, but I doubt it. I'd only be able
to tell if I could see the workbook. Sorry.

Dave Peterson

Developers can lock the cell, hide the formula and protect the worksheet so that
formulas aren't visible.

Is the worksheet protected?

If no, then the formulas won't be hidden.
