CountIF, CountA,Which one? or neither?
 

I have tried so many different mixes that I can't find up from down. i hope
someone can help me.

The spreadsheet looks like so
date model status salesperson

The status column could contain either b,s,f or s
The salesperson column has names inserted.

I need to count how many of each letter each salesperson has

=SUMPRODUCT(--(D2:D100="Jim"),--(C2:C100="s"))

etc.
