Excel references keep changing
We have excel files sitting on a network where a cell in one spreadsheet
refers to a cell in another spreadsheet all on the same network drive("F"). However, the references keep switching from the "F" drive to the "C" drive temp files as follows: ='C:\Documents and Settings\tmccorma\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART\MAY-05\FINANCIALS\[MAY05 PRODUCTION.xls]LOS ANGELES'!$S$13 We do have more than one person accessing the spreadsheet, but I wouldn't think that would be a problem as the common drive is "F" on each computer. Any ideas???? |
One possibility is that someone is copying the WB to their own machine (C:\)
*while both WBs are open* XL is just being smart and helpful, and revising the links to what it thinks is the new location. This only happens when both WBs are open. -- HTH, RD ============================================== Please keep all correspondence within the Group, so all may benefit! ============================================== "SFTM" wrote in message ...
