Is there a convenient way to represent latitude/longitude
Positions are often given in lat/lon in deg/min/sec units. Is there a way to
represent this in Excel (other than a separate cell for each component) - similar to date/time? |
Here's a site that converts in both directions.
http://www.fcc.gov/mb/audio/bickel/DDDMMSS-decimal.html I prefer to use decimal equivalents because I find it more intuitive. |
See if Chip's site helps http://www.cpearson.com/excel/latlong.htm
