Why can't I unhide rows 1 to 47 in a worksheet?
 
No matter what I try, I can't show the rows I hid. Please help.

Press ctrl+home.
Hold down the shift key and click in A48
Press ctrl+shift+9

Because you have freeze panes.

Window|Unfreeze panes
and scroll up and there you go.

Did that include clicking on the square at the joint of the row and column
headers and selecting Format Row Unhide ?

Click on the blank box/cell in the upper left hand corner of the worksheet.
This should highlight the entire sheet. Now click Format Row Unhide.

Alternately, if you you have additional hidden rows and/or columns, in the
Name box type A1, the Enter. Hold Shift and click in cell A48, which should
be visible. Then click Format Row Unhide.
