how do you switch from auto open
how do you switch from opening a file automatically to prompting to save as
first? Thanks, |
Can you reword your question? I don't see what the two have to do with each
other. How are you opening a file automatically in the first place? And if you aren't opening it, how do you propose to "switch to" save as? Sorry, your question makes no sense to me. ******************* ~Anne Troy www.OfficeArticles.com "Jay" wrote in message ... how do you switch from opening a file automatically to prompting to save as first? Well, what I used to be able to do, when I would receive an e-mail with an
attachment, is double-click the attachment and I would be prompted to either open, or save file. Unfortunately, due to excess clicking, I apparently clicked the box to not prompt again. What I want to be able to do again is have the option to save. Maybe that's a better way to ask? Thanks, "Anne Troy" wrote: Can you reword your question? Definitely; especially since this is eht Excel group, and your question is
really Windows related. Go to My Computer, and hit Tools--Folder options, File Types tab. Choose the file extension you're working with (I'm assuming XLS). Hit Advanced, then tick the box that says "Confirm open after download." ******************* ~Anne Troy www.OfficeArticles.com "Jay" wrote in message ... how do you switch from opening a file automatically to prompting to save as first?
