Summing of Two cells does not sum!!

I am setting up a monthly chart and all I am trying to do is a simple SUM
formula. I set it up fine but every time I enter a value it does not add it
in the cell I put the formula in.

Example:
Here is the exact formula I am using =SUM(C6,C8). (Trying for the sum in C10)

It will sum if I already have numbers in it but if I change the numbers or
start with no numbers it does not add it.

Do you have manual calculation set? ToolsOptionsCalculation. Make sure the
Automatic button is set.
